Christmas Spirit is in the Air

As our class counts down the days until Christmas, we have been busy doing all sorts of Christmas activities in the class room and in the community.

Last week we had the opportunity to visit the Santa's Anonymous workshop. It was amazing to see all of the food, clothing and toy donations that have come in from people in the community. The students got the see what typically goes into a Santa's Anonymous basket and how it gets packed before being sent off to a family or person in need.

This Monday we took a walk to the Sundre Hospital. While we were there we presented the long term care patients with Christmas cards that the students had made. It was wonderful to see the senior's faces light up will the kids talked to them. We even got to sing a few Christmas carols while we were there.

On Tuesday night this week, many students and their families dropped by the classroom for our Christmas open house. It was wonderful to see all of the siblings and parents that were able to come. The students and their families got pretty creative with the Reindeer Gift Bag craft!

Our class wishes all of you a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year!

We would love to hear what you think about our Christmas blog post.
